2009 Concert Line-up

Every year we go through the list of big name tours and look for the big surprise names for the year.  We already know that Elton John and Billy Joel are setting tour dates together and Britney Spears is launching a comeback to to pair with her new album “Circus”.  Some other big names you might see in 2009 are older names like Aerosmith, U2, and Led Zeppelin (with or without original lead singer Robert Plant).  The usual suspects for great shows will still be touring in ‘09 as well, Allman Brothers, Dave Matthews Band, Jimmy Buffett and John Mayer all have dates scheduled.  Check back with us regularly to see if your favorite band is planning on touring next year, or just browse all of our concert tickets!

Shrek the Musical: Word of Mouth

Everyone’s favorite ogre has opened on Broadway to great reviews.  Word of Mouth has a great video of real people talking about their experience with the show.  If you want to see this comedy live on Broadway, check out the Shrek tickets and plan a New York vacation you’ll never forget!

Nine Inch Nails May Not Tour After ‘09

With drummer Freese planning on leaving the band to spend more time with a growing family, Nine Inch Nails may hang it up once they finish touring in 2009, AllHeadlineNews suggests.   This means that if you were planning on seeing Reznor and Co. live, you best start looking for Nine Inch Nail Tickets now!  The band currently has a few shows scheduled before year-end, and several scheduled over-seas dates in February.

The College Bowl Game Experience

The easiest way to measure the success of a college football program is to look at its recent history of bowl game appearances.  In 2008, 68 out of 119 Division 1 teams will play in a bowl game starting on December 20th with the EagleBank Bowl in D.C. and finishing with the BCS National Championship Game on January 8th in Miami.

The 2008 season has brought us some fantastic big-time-bowl match-ups like Oklahoma v Florida (BCS Championship), Penn State v USC (Rose Bowl), and Alabama v Utah (Sugar Bowl).  But don’t overlook some of the smaller bowls, with interesting games between Nebraska v Clemson (Gator Bowl), LSU v Georgia Tech (Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl), and Texas Tech v Ole Miss (Cotton Bowl).
