2009 U2 360 North American Tour Schedule

U2 will get the tour nice and warm with 15 European dates through August and should be hot and ready to go when the North American dates start in September!

The band kicks off this leg of the tour in Chicago at historic Soldier Field.  The U2 Chicago concert on September 12th will be massive, probably the largest attendance ever at the stadium.  If you want tickets, make sure you head to GoTickets to find out when they will be on sale!

The first of two Canadian shows will be in Toronto on September 16th in the Rogers Centre.  The U2 Toronto show will sell out quick, probably within minutes, so if you want the best seats you’re going to want to go to GoTickets and singup for the newsletter, then you will get an email when tickets are available!

Back in the States, U2 will go to Massachusetts and play Boston!  Technically in Foxborough, Gillette Stadium will be the venue for the U2 Boston show on September 20th!

The Big Apple LOVES U2, they’ve sold out plenty of shows there, and this year’s show won’t be an exception.  The 2009 U2 New York City concert will be at Giants Stadium on September 24th.

Moving a bit further south, U2 will head down to the District of Columbia for a show at the home of the Washington Redskins, FedEx Field.  The U2 DC show is technically in Landover, MD but you can expect it to sell out fast!

Charlottesville is the home of the University of Virginia and their football team plays at Scott Stadium.  The venue will host U2 on October 1st.  To be the first to know when U2 Charlottesville tickets go on sale, make sure you head over to GoTickets and sign up for the email newsletter!

Nobody is sure if this show is going to happen or not, and if it does happen, no one seems to know what the venue will be!  But a U2 Raleigh show would be much welcomed payback for the last time U2 was supposed to play in Raleigh and they canceled because their video board had been damaged in a previous show.  Speculation is that this concert will be played at Carter-Finley Stadium, home of the NC State Wolfpack Football team, on October 3rd.

Hotlanta is the next stop on the 2009 U2 360 Tour when the band visits the Georgia Dome on October 6th.  A U2 Atlanta show will bring in a big crowd, which means ticket sales are going to be fast and hard to get!  So when you want the best seats in the house, or just a general admission ticket, make sure you get it from a trusted source like GoTickets!

Raymond James Stadium recently hosted the Super Bowl in 2009, and U2 will probably bring in an even bigger crowd when they play there on October 9th!  The U2 Tampa Bay show should be a great atmosphere with wonderful weather that time of year in Tampa.

U2 will play two shows in Texas, the first being at the New Cowboys Stadium in Dallas!  The U2 Dallas concert will be on October 12th and will be followed two days later with the U2 Houston show at Reliant Stadium.

Oklahoma Memorial Stadium brings in gigantic crowds for every home game during college football season.  But on October 19th, the little town of Norman will host U2 and huge crowds are expected for the U2 Norman show.  If you’re going to be in the area, get your tickets from GoTickets and be sure that they are legit!

The U2 Phoenix concert will be played in the aptly named University of Phoenix Stadium, a state of the art venue for concerts or NFL games, or anything else really.  The stadium is technically in Glendale, AZ but the name of the town won’t matter on October 20th when U2 is in town!

The bright lights of Vegas will light up the U2 tour when they play at the UNLV football stadium, Sam Boyd Stadium o October 23rd 2009.  The U2 Vegas show presents a lot of opportunity to explore and enjoy Las Vegas and everything it has to offer.

The second-to-last show on the tour, and the last show in the United States is being called the U2 Los Angeles show even though the stadium it is being played at is the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.  The Rose Bowl has more history than most of the other football stadiums in the country put together, having hosted the Olympics, countless music festivals, and of course the yearly Rose Bowl college football game.

Every tour has to end, and the 2009 U2 360 Tour ends in Vancouver on October 28th at BC Place Stadium.  The U2 Vancouver show will be a blast, as the last show on a tour usually is, and will probably sell out quicker than any other venue.  So make sure you head over to GoTickets.com and sign up for the email newsletter if you are interested in tickets and you will receive notification when tickets for this concert are on sale!

That’s it for tour dates, stay tuned as we bring you any and all updates for the U2 Tour this year, and every other year!
