The 2009 Rock the Bells Festival is gearing up for shows in 10 cities from June to August.  Main performers include Nas, The Roots, and Big Boi among others.  The festival will be hitting lots of major cities including Boston, NY, DC, LA, Miami, and Toronto so sign up for our email newsletter and be the first to know when Rock the Bells tickets are available!

The Kentucky Derby is less than a month away now!  On May 2nd the historic horse racing event will take place once again in Churchill Downs and GoTickets is your source for last minute tickets!  Tickets for the event are cheaper now than ever before, so take advantage and get your Kentucky Derby tickets now!

Find your event and make sure you select the correct date (if tickets are not on sale yet for your event there will be a green sign-up box where you can leave your email address with us and be notified when those tickets are available - don’t worry, we NEVER share our email lists).

Check out the seating chart for your venue and compare the available tickets to see what best fits your needs.  You can sort the tickets that are listed by section, price, or quantity.  Sometimes very similar seats will be listed for different prices, this is your place to find a deal and scoop up cheap tickets!

Once you pick your tickets you’ll be taken to the cart where you will be given the option to either create an account with us or simply use your email address to finish your order.  Again, we NEVER share your personal information including email addresses.

After you fill in your billing and shipping information (note that we cannot ship to any P.O. boxes) and complete the order you will receive an initial email with details of your order while someone in our office processes your order.  You will receive a second email that confirms the order which will serve as your receipt, your order is not complete until you receive this second email.

U2 has updated their tour page to confirm what we already knew, U2 will play shows in Raleigh, NC - Dallas, TX - Houston, TX - Norman, OK - Phoenix, AZ - Las Vegas, NV.  The Raleigh and Norman shows will go on sale on Friday the 17th, the Vegas show will go on sale on the 18th, and the others will be on sale on the 20th.

Also we had reported that the show in Norman, OK would be on the 19th of October and U2 has changed that date to be the 18th.

The other thing we’ve heard is that this tour may be extended into 2010 and we’ll happily post every update we get as soon as we get it, so stay tuned and subscribe to our RSS feed!

We’ve got the UNC Tarheels and MSU Spartans in the championship game of the final four tonight. Ford Field in Detroit will be packed as the home town heroes attempt to revenge the beatdown Carolina laid on them earlier this year at the same venue.  Game time is set for 9:20pm EST.

U2 tickets went on sale for 8 dates this morning including concerts in DC, Charlottesville, Atlanta, Tampa, Los Angeles and second shows in Chicago, Boston, and New York.  More dates will be officially added to the U2 schedule soon including the Raleigh, Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas, and Norman dates (you can find the projected schedule at GoTickets U2 page now!).  Look for tickets for those dates to be on sale in about two weeks.

Aerosmith has announced tour plans with ZZ Top for their first tour in two years. The tour is expected to start in June with 40 dates in the US and possible shows overseas as well.  Watch for the schedule and Aerosmith tickets to be online in the next week or so.

Steve Martin (yes, the comedian) announced his banjo playing concert debut at the Grand Ole Opry with help from Vince Gill, Amy Grant, and John McEuen. Martin’s album is called “The Crow” and he shows what an exceptional banjo player he really is!  If you haven’t seen it, there is a great clip of Martin playing on the 70’s tv show The Gong Show, you can watch it here.

And rock legends KISS are going to let their fans vote on where they will play their concerts for their upcoming tour! Visit Eventful later tonight or tomorrow and you can vote KISS to your city!  Once you convince the band to come to you, make sure you get your KISS tickets from GoTickets so you don’t miss out!
