The College Bowl Game Experience

The easiest way to measure the success of a college football program is to look at its recent history of bowl game appearances.  In 2008, 68 out of 119 Division 1 teams will play in a bowl game starting on December 20th with the EagleBank Bowl in D.C. and finishing with the BCS National Championship Game on January 8th in Miami.

The 2008 season has brought us some fantastic big-time-bowl match-ups like Oklahoma v Florida (BCS Championship), Penn State v USC (Rose Bowl), and Alabama v Utah (Sugar Bowl).  But don’t overlook some of the smaller bowls, with interesting games between Nebraska v Clemson (Gator Bowl), LSU v Georgia Tech (Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl), and Texas Tech v Ole Miss (Cotton Bowl).
